Mrs. N.L.

(BSc., BA., Dip.) – Educator

As she watched a documentary many, many years ago, the words “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier” became embedded in her heart and mind. These words of Mother Teresa became the root in which Mrs. N., would grow into her calling.

I started teaching part-time classes with the Ministry of Education’s adult continuation classes at the age of 22 while simultaneously working at a prestigious medical centre in San Fernando all the while being a brand-new mother. I was doing what I enjoyed- helping people.

Later, I went to achieve a Diploma in Computer and Information Systems, a BSc. Computer Science with first-class honours, a BA Business Administration with upper second-class honours and a Certificate in Teaching. As a firm believer in continuous learning, I will be continuing with my certifications.

In addition to teaching at Platinum Learning institute, I am also a Children
Education Teacher at my church.

As an educator, not only do I teach students on the subject topics, but they are also taught reasoning and developing critical thinking skills- important skills to learn. I also teach by the way I treat and respond to my students i.e., with kindness, respect, and patience. Students assigned to my care must be comfortable, feel encouraged and confident in their learning. Hence when they leave, they are ‘better and happier.’
